Head of Core Systems

As the successful applicant you will be responsible for a global team with members in Singapore, London, Oslo and New York. The team manages the fund's portfolio of critical solutions supporting the core workflows of our portfolio managers, traders and operations staff. From order capture to final settlement, the lights are on 24/7 which truly makes this a challenge across technologies, continents, cultures and personalities.

You will work closely with a high number of internal teams and stakeholders to continually develop and automate our transactional highway to be more robust in order to enable support for an ever increasing order- and transaction volume. Furthermore, interaction with external vendors to secure efficient delivery of up to date solutions is a core part of the role.

The successful candidate could benefit from a background in finance and technology, and gets motivated by working with people and develop talents in a global environment.

The position is based in Oslo and will report to the Global Head of Fund Valuation. Travel will be required.

What will you do:
As Head of Systems Core Delivery, you will be challenged across several areas.

• Develop the team and secure growth opportunities for all members across regions
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to optimize, develop and change the funds core system portfolio according to agreed upon architectural principles and overall strategic direction
• Manage the teams continual strive towards exploring new technologies and building competency in mission critical areas
• Develop and grow relationships with core vendors
• Contribute in the daily support of the teams area of responsibility as a subject matter expert

What are we looking for:

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience working with information systems within the investment management space
• Strong understanding of the trade life cycle and investment book of records
• Strong understanding of Equity, Fixed Income, and FX asset classes
• Mature insight into the drivers of asset management
• Previous management experience is relevant, but not required
• Familiar with the principles of agile development
• Experience with Linedata Longview, SimCorp Dimension and SWIFT is a plus
• Familiarity with AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud services is also a plus
