Manager IT Project Management

Job Description

For our office in Oslo or Düsseldorf we are looking to hire 3 Managers to support IT project delivery in our key customers area- Markets, Operations and Staff area. 

IT and digital solutions play’s a critical role along Statkraft’s entire value chain. Our solutions are critical for information gathering, analysis, exploration, production planning, monitoring, sales, information security, compliance etc. IT is also important in safeguarding our operations. Our IT solutions are rapidly becoming more sophisticated and interdependent. Based on the characteristics of our business, we develop many of our business-critical systems ourselves. 

The Project Management unit in IT is responsible for managing all IT and digitalisation projects in Statkraft. The unit is also responsible for test management, the IT Project Management Office (PMO), and corporate wide innovation by utilizing IT and digitalisation. 

Statkraft has huge growth ambitions. The unit consists of approx. 40 project managers with a mix of permanent and hired consultants located in in Oslo and Düsseldorf. We now reorganise the unit to be fit for future growth establishing a new management level. 

As Manager in the Project Management unit, you will have the following responsibilities: 

  • Line manager responsibility for a team of project managers towards a defined business area
  • Build successful relationships with other key IT and business stakeholders 
  • Identify future need for competence and capacity based on customer insight
  • Recruit and strengthen the team - securing capacity, competencies, and quality
  • Dependent on availability - run selected projects towards own customer area
  • Report to Head of IT Project management and member of the management team

Qualifications

We are looking for managers with a clear “can do” mindset and the essential skills to future proof our business and renewable energy solutions. We believe this includes: 

  • Higher education at university level or equivalent
  • Experience in managing business critical IT and digitalization projects from consulting companies or similar roles in global industry companies
  • Strong communication capabilities and talent for building network and trusted relationships
  • Experience from team lead position or similar is beneficial
  • Interest in green energy, technology, and curiosity about people and their motives 
  • Fluency in English verbally and written
