Role?We are currently seeking a full-time Data Engineer with interest in Data Mesh for the FINN Data Enablement and Infrastructure team.

Tech stack?Some examples of our tech stack consists ofTerraform, Kafka, Github Actions, Kubernetes

Location? We embrace a hybrid work approach and invite you to join us in our office in Oslo for 2-3 days a week. This allows for collaboration and meaningful connections with your team. If you’re not the working from home kind of person, you are of course welcome in our office every day.

Company? FINN.no recently joined forces with Bilbasen and DBA in Denmark, Oikotie and Tori in Finland, and Blocket in Sweden, collectively forming Schibsted Nordic Marketplaces. Together, we serve over 325 million monthly visits. Our technology unit, comprising around 250 developers in Oslo, is instrumental to our success story, deploying new code to production over 1800 times per week.

WHO ARE YOU?

You are passionate about building high quality software and infrastructure, enjoy sharing knowledge , and making a difference together with others. You have a genuine interest in our products and the needs of our end-users, and you always consider what’s best for the company when making technology decisions. When you see something that needs to be done, you step up and do it. You are curious and driven to develop your skills to solve problems.

Additionally, you have:

  • Good understanding of the principles of Data Mesh.

  • Knowledge of Java and the JVM platform

  • BSc or MSc degree and at least three years of experience within IT

  • Experience with any of the following or similar is an advantage: Kafka, Kotlin, GCP, AWS, Git, Kubernetes, Spring, PostgreSQL, Cassandra

  • Experience working in an agile environment (Scrum, Kanban etc)

  • A high degree of effective, proactive communication skills in English, both verbally and in written form.
