Software Engineer

Onyx CenterSource is looking for an experienced backend Software Engineer who wants to continue their career in an international company based out of Tønsberg, Norway. Onyx CenterSource operates and develops its own services aimed at large international leading travel agencies and hotels. This position initially implies that you have experience with .Net development in C# and familiarity with MS SQL. The company uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a platform for scaling and optimizing its services.

Location: Norway or remote Europe.

Desired competence:

• Have a burning interest in developing yourself further in the world of programming
• Experience with .NET, .NET Core
• Experience with SQL Server or MySQL
• Knowledge of technologies such as Elasticsearch, Snowflake and document databases
• Can work independently and in flexible teams
• Higher education, but relevant experience can compensate for this
• Passionate about new technology

• Good communication skills in Norwegian and English

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality software designs in alignment with architecture.
• Follows the change control processes to ensure integrity of the production environment.
• Identify, prioritize, size and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
• Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions, as well as prepare the service delivery teams for supporting the capabilities in a highly available, production environment.
• Perform validation and verification testing, as well as capacity planning, scalability and performance testing.
• Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility.
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
• Document and maintain software functionality.
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems.
• Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback.
• Comply with project plans and industry standards.
•  Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting. Restricted Minimum
