Project Engineer, Software

NOV Oslo is looking for a Project Engineer, Software, who can design and program PLC and HMI systems for our Drilling Fluid Control Systems. Field Engineering Asker main scope of work is modifying and updating the control system for our Drilling Fluid systems. The Drilling Fluid Control System contains of several processes. Our Control System ties all these processes into one control system and assist the operators to have a good overview and control of all the equipment and processes involved. NOV uses Siemens PLC and three types of HMI; HMI7, Wonderware InTouch and Siemens WinCC.

Field Engineering in Asker are searching for an experienced engineer within automation and programming of PLC and HMI.

Main tasks will be:

• Technical resource in our projects in Aftermarket
• Programming of PLC and HMI in our deliveries
• Evaluate and select correct type of field instruments
• Some design work in AutoCAD
• Technical support, internal and external
• Quality check of work done in the field by our Field Service Technicians
• Assisting in technical description for our sales group

Qualifications - External

We want to connect with positive, dedicated employees with good abilities to work both independently and with others in teams. For these tasks, we are looking for engineers in automation or equivalent with relevant experience, preferably from the process or offshore industry. Emphasis will be placed on knowledge and experience with the design of programming of PLC and HMI systems (industry/offshore) and the ability to work independently and purposefully.

Norwegian and English must be mastered in writing and orally.
