We are seeking a motivated FPGA Designer to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for architecture, design, implementation and verification of FPGA's. The discipline lead role keeps abreast of FPGA tools, trends, methodology and strategies, as well as serving as a mentor growing the capability of the team. You will work in a team of experienced professionals to deliver world class products and have the opportunity to shape your own role in the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Conceptual design, specification and architecture for FPGA designs
  • Implementation, verification and system integration of FPGA's on mixed signal circuit boards
  • Participate in design and implementation of digital signal processing algorithms for advanced RF designs  
  • Integration of systems/products in close cooperation with hardware, software and mechanical designers
  • Participate in technical arenas and seek collaboration on FPGA related projects across the KONGSBERG group

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree within Electronics, Engineering Cybernetics or similar field
  • Work experience with FPGA design for circuit boards preferably using VHDL
  • Experience with FPGA vendors and tools, preferably Vivado from AMD/Xilinx
  • Experience with high-speed serial ADC interfacing
  • Experience with multiple clock domains and timing
  • Familiarity with digital signal processing algorithms
  • Hands on skills for prototyping, measurements and problem solving
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, preferably in both Norwegian and English
