We are expanding our product range and are looking for an R&D Engineer - Navigation, that want to be a part of our dedicated development team shaping the future systems for underwater positioning and communication systems.

Acoustic Positioning and Communication Systems

What you will be working on

As an R&D Engineer - Navigation, you will belong to an interdisciplinary team with a mix of young and more experienced colleagues and will be able to learn from highly competent experts.  Together we develop world leading products and applications for acoustic positioning and communications systems. There is an opportunity to make important contributions both to the international maritime markets and to the future of our company.

You will be working on development of software for our positioning and inertial navigation system, HiPAP and HAIN. On a day-to-day basis you will be involved in software system design, specification, development, implementation, and test. You will also contribute to real life testing of the product partly onboard our research vessels in Horten.

Qualifications and experience 

  • M.Sc in software programming, cybernetics or similar
  • Programming in C/C++ and Matlab
  • Mathematical mindset
  • Interest and/or experience in Navigation/Inertial navigation
  • Experience within one or more of the following areas: Sensor interfacing, Kalman filters, inertial sensors, geodesy, Real-time programming, real time operating systems, is beneficial
  • Preferably some relevant experience, recently graduated will also be considered
     

This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.
