NOV Digital Products and Automation team is seeking a skilled and dedicated engineer to join our Drilling Optimization group. The vision of NOV Digital Products and Automation team is to accelerate the drilling performance, consistency and predictability of our customers operations through innovative and iterative digital solutions. Our Drilling Automation Team works directly with cross functional engineering teams across the Digital Product and Automation team, delivering high value products to an international market.
In our drilling optimization group, we are looking for an engineer who will join our team in developing and delivering effective solutions for drilling-related operations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage interface towards other systems developed by NOV
- Ensure comprehensive and robust integration, and good user experience
- Structured preparation and quality assurance of technical documentation
- Take part in tender work
- Collaborate on technology development and projects across departments and groups
- Support other departments within the Software Engineering organization when required
- Programming and integration of control systems in Siemens SIMATIC and similar tools
- Design and implementation of systems, in both low-level (STL) and high-level (C++/C#) programming languages
- Knowledge of Control Systems Engineering is preferred
- Knowledge of the following systems will be an advantage:
- STL and SCL (Siemens SIMATIC)
- LabView
- MatlabDrive requirements and design processes
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in software development, with a focus on system integration
- Strong programming skills in low-level (STL) and high-level (C++/C#) programming languages
- Experience with control systems programming in Siemens SIMATIC and similar tools
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of Control Systems Engineering (preferred)
- Knowledge of STL and SCL (Siemens SIMATIC), LabView, Matlab, and drive requirements and design processes would be an advantage.
