About the role

Lefdal Mine Datacenter is seeking an Operations Manager to be responsible for overseeing the Data Center operations, including the 24/7 support maintaining hardware, software, and networking components.

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Ensure effective and efficient management of day-to-day data center operations including 24/7 shift arrangement.
  • Report on, and review Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and provide input to improve or increase efficiency across the data center.
  • Monitor software and hardware products and ensure compliance to Data Center and security standards.
  • Lead and manage the team responsible for day-to-day Datacenter activities, including operators and support staff.
  • Drive completion of service requests, incidents and tickets, perform troubleshoot on data center, identify issues and resolutions.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and provide optimum level of customer services.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all Datacenter processes, procedures, and configurations.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and document change requirements
  • Ensure adherence to established guidelines and management practices.
  • Coordinate with other internal departments and perform integration of systems into data center.
  • Ensure delivery of expected update and performance requirements

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, or relevant discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in data center management or related roles, with ideally 5+ years in a management position.
  • In-depth knowledge of Datacenter technologies, best practices, and industry trends.
  • Effective communication skills and customer service skills

Preferred skillset

  • Certification in data center management or related areas (e.g., CDCP, CDCS, CDCMP).
  • Familiarity with Network, Server, and HPC computing technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Norwegian
