Aker BP's DataOps team is the key for unlocking the full potential of data and making sure Aker BP becomes the first data-driven E&P company. As a Technical Data Specialist for Drilling & Wells in DataOps, you - in a team with great colleagues - will focus on delivery to Operations from the Drilling Operations Team. You will also be expected to engage in improving workflows for this domain to ensure that we deliver the best quality at the right time.
Typical tasks can be:
- Responsible for Data Management activities in the Well Operations
- Responsible for communication with Well Operations driving user adoption of standards
- Monitor quality and standard adherence
- Make sure well data is stored where agreed
- Locate and manage gaps in data
- Understand applications and data flow
- Identify and coordinate training needs as well as mentoring and training users
- Work with improvement and digitalization teams to define future ways of working
Skills & qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree within with in Petroleum engineering
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in an operational wells environment
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills with creativity and ability to critical thinking and problem solving
- Knowledge of well design and operations, well integrity and well management
- Oil & Gas industry experience from operators
- Fluent in English and Norwegian, both verbal and written
