As our new Solution Reliability Engineer your primary focus will be developing scalable software solutions for monitoring, logging, auditability and asset management built on modern tools and frameworks. These solutions provide our customers with valuable insight in the environmental and commercial effect of their installations and ensures that all systems operate continuously. You will be part of an experienced team consisting of Software developers and monitoring experts with extensive knowledge of Q-Free systems and solutions.
In Q-Free projects we deliver end-to-end solutions, and our monitoring tools run on Q-Free’s installations around the world. We build our high-performance and high-availability systems on a mixed set of technologies with both Q-Free and Third-Party products. We own and control the complete system delivery to ensure reliable operation of the complete tolling solution that meets the customer’s needs over the lifespan of the system.
In the role of a Solution Reliability Engineer, your primary responsibility is to maintain the seamless operation of our tolling systems. This involves devising monitoring strategies, creating tools for proactive issue identification, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Collaborating with teams, documenting system guidelines, integrating new technologies for enhanced performance, and providing support in system development are key aspects of this role. Additionally, you'll focus on problem-solving, system improvement, and knowledge transfer to ensure operational efficiency.
We believe you have substantial experience from working with solutions within IT/OT infrastructure and operations, particularly with software development for system monitoring and logging with an emphasis on system reliability. You should also have experience working with complex systems involving multiple software components and preferably also hardware components. You do not need to have extensive HW/electronics skills but genuine interest in, and good understanding of technology is highly valued. Linux proficiency is a must, preferably in heterogeneous environments including also Windows and custom HW components
You might hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT/OT or software development, but we do realize that other educational backgrounds in combination with relevant experience also can provide a sound and relevant technical foundation.
We do not have a hard lower cut-off on number of years of experience, but believe it is beneficial if you have worked long enough to build up your own well-functioning “tool-kit”.
Our working language is English and we require that you have strong oral and written skills in both English and a Scandinavian language. Other language skills (e.g., French, Spanish) are also valuable.

The working location is at Q-Free Headquarters in Trondheim, Norway. As we have projects all over the world, and work closely with a monitoring team in Stockholm some traveling will be expected.
