As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be an integral part of a central team dedicated to advancing Storebrand's data and analytical capabilities. You will collaborate with other data analysts, scientists and engineers in our unit, which is strategically positioned within Storebrand to influence and drive data initiatives across Storebrand’s business areas.

Your role will have you working with a range of cutting-edge technologies. Microsoft Azure is our primary cloud service provider, and we deploy both Databricks and Snowflake for data processing, analytics and AI. We are also using dbt cloud as a transformation tool, MLflow for MLOps and model lifecycle management, GitHub for version control and GitHub Actions for CI/CD, to name a few.

What you will be doing

In this role, you will be a central figure in developing and deploying machine learning models, crucial for improving services and customer experiences, as well as optimizing internal processes. Among other things, we are working to uncover insurance fraud, automating processes, streamlining marketing and sales activities, improving our services and customer experiences, and enabling and increasing the efficiency of our workforce through AI based tools and solutions.

Your work will primarily involve leveraging our Microsoft Azure cloud environment, along with Databricks and Snowflake for data processing and model building. You will actively contribute to our MLOps framework, ensuring the robust deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of machine learning models from input data to end-user application. You will also be instrumental in exploring and integrating state-of-the-art AI technologies, including Generative AI and advanced language models, to push the boundaries of what’s possible in our AI applications.

Who you are

You are likely someone with a technical degree and a passion for machine learning and AI. We believe you are proficient in Python and/or other programming languages, as well as SQL. Hands-on experience with cloud-based environments, in particular Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, GitHub, Docker, or dbt is beneficial, but not mandatory. Finally, we believe you are a problem-solver, comfortable in collaborative settings, and eager to keep up with the latest trends in AI and machine learning.
