At Weibel we have a long and proud history of developing and manufacturing the most advanced radar systems for customers over most of the world. We are developing a new best-in-class surveillance radar, and that is why we need you and all of your software development skills. This job is a unique chance to be a part of developing a state-of-the-art product that will set new standards globally.

 

Software development with main focus on architecture

You will join our team of experienced and dedicated signal processing and software engineers that are looking forward to sharing ideas with you. We do not expect you to be an expert in radars as long as you have the drive and ambition to learn a new domain and further develop your technical skill set.

Your primary tasks will be to:


  • Design, develop, test and document software modules for our new surveillance radar
  • Contribute to architecture development and to software interfaces to 3rd party systems
  • Produce specifications, unit tests, test procedures, documentation, etc.
  • Participate in demos and integration efforts with 3rd parties
  • Contribute to our efforts on networking, data integrity and cybersecurity. 

You will be based at our Oslo office and can look forward to travelling 20-30 days per year to meet colleagues and partners, primarily 1-2 day trips to our HQ in Copenhagen.

Your professional background comprises:


  • A university degree within engineering, computer science or similar
  • Ability to develop code according to requirement specifications
  • Experience with architecture, design, implementation and testing of software modules
  • Experience with C++ and Linux mandatory
  • Experience with Git, Qt and JIRA highly desirable
  • Good English skills, written and spoken
