Tasks & Responsibilities:
1. Data Management:
- Develop and implement comprehensive data management strategies for subsurface and energy-related datasets.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of subsurface data throughout its lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data standards and best practices.
2. Geospatial Data Analysis:
- Utilize geospatial tools and software to analyze subsurface data and extract valuable insights.
- Work closely with geoscientists and engineers to integrate geospatial findings into decision-making processes.
3. Database Administration:
- Administer and optimize databases housing subsurface and energy datasets.
- Implement data quality control measures and troubleshoot data-related issues.
4. Workflow Automation:
- Identify opportunities for workflow automation in data collection, processing, and analysis.
- Develop and implement automated solutions to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance overall efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT and data science teams to integrate automation tools into existing workflows.
5. Collaboration And Communication:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to understand data requirements and deliver timely and accurate results.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
6. Technology Integration:
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies in subsurface and energy data management, with a specific focus on workflow automation.
- Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve data analysis and interpretation capabilities.
7. Compliance And Security:
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data security standards.
- Implement and enforce data governance policies, especially in the context of automated workflows.
Your Profile:
- Education: University degree Bachelor within Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science
- Relevant professional experience 5-8 years
- Proven experience in subsurface and energy data management.
- Proficiency in geospatial analysis tools and software.
- Strong database administration skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing workflow automation solutions.
- Familiarity with energy exploration and production workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and data security standards
- Designated team player, likes collaboration to optimize operations and work towards further improvements
Preferred skills:
- Experience with machine learning and data modeling in subsurface exploration. Familiarity with industry-specific data standards (e.g., RESQML, PRODML, OSDU). Programming skills (e.g., Python, R) for data manipulation and analysis..
- Motivated to assist EP professionals to further concentrate on their job, e.g. by tackling their data related issues.
