We aim to strengthen our Information Technology team with an IT Support Technician to provide technical support to end users, including troubleshooting, hardware, software, and access requests. You will promote IT competency throughout the organization to ensure effective and efficient utilization of the IT infrastructure. You will be a part of the Eggemoen Technology Center team working with experts within metallurgy, software development, image processing, mechanical design, automation, and manufacturing.

 

What your day looks like:

  • Conduct daily monitoring and maintenance of NTi’s workstations, servers, networks and information security
  • Manage end-user support on all aspects regarding daily IT use, including desktop, printers and mobile phones, hardware and software issues as well as troubleshooting
  • Manage daily operation of IT-infrastructure and IT security through internal or external resources
  • Ensure stability of critical IT systems and contribute to system improvements
  • Develop, evolve and standardize the IT function
  • Perform self-directed break-fix and research when solving new problems
  • Conduct root cause/corrective action and post-mortem documentation
  • Collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support after-hours requests, as needed

 

We’re thrilled to find Candidates with:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Some years of professional IT experience, preferably in an internal customer facing role
  • Knowledge of general hardware and software systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Proficiency with Windows printing and scanning operations, including installation and support of network devices, Windows clients and servers, IOS mobile devices, Azure, Office 365 and SharePoint online
  • Knowledge of information security standards
  • Fluent mastery of English language
