We seek a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Security Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust security architectures for our cloud environments, primarily focusing on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud security principles, extensive experience with Azure, and the ability to architect and implement security solutions that align with business goals. The position will be based at Odfjell’s headquarters in Bergen.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive security architectures for cloud environments, specifically focusing on Microsoft Azure. 
  • Design and architect secure cloud solutions that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. 
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to integrate security controls seamlessly into cloud architecture. 
  • Implement security measures within Azure, including identity and access management, encryption, network security, and monitoring solutions. 
  • Respond to security threats, attacks, and similar events. 
  • Provide expertise in configuring and managing Azure security services, such as Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, and Azure Active Directory. 
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks. 
  • Overseeing the correction of vulnerabilities and providing DevOps security guidance.
  • Stay abreast of emerging threats and vulnerabilities and adapt security strategies accordingly. 
  • Implement automation processes for security controls and compliance checks, leveraging cloud-native tools and scripting languages. 
  • Continuously optimize and refine security automation processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Regular generation of reports and recommendations for executives 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert are highly desirable. 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience and knowledge of IT operations, including networking, virtualization, identity, security, business continuity, disaster recovery, data platforms, and governance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically about security and risk.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft 365 Defender, Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Defender for Identity, Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps, Microsoft Information Protection, Microsoft Azure AD, and Darktrace is preferable.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
