Global Customer Support Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen as our department Unmanned Platform need to strengthen the team for Autonomous Underwater Vehicle and Unmanned Surface Vehicle.

In the role as an Support Engineer you will be a part of the team contributing to make our customer successful in being operational in their business. Your workday will primary consist of In Office support, where you will assist our customers with your technical competence. Some travelling to customers main offices may be required.

 

Main work tasks

  • Technical support of KONGSBER Discovery`s full range of Hugin and USV systems including payload either integrated or standalone
  • Be the contact person in Global Customer Support (GCS) against customers in general, but also for specific customers.
  • Technical assistance to Sales & Marketing and Aftersales
  • Develop qualifications by participating at internal/ external courses and education
  • Report problems and suggest improvements using KD quality tools
  • Extensive troubleshooting on customer claims
  • Participate in duty phone as on-call engineer
  • Support in lifecycle decisions and product maintenance
  • Work to optimize Service and Technical Support P&L performance

 

Qualifications and experience

  • Experience from hydroacoustic sensors and knowledge in post processing
  • Electronic and or computer knowledge
  • Post processing of sensor data and quality checks
  • Good skills in English writing and oral 

 This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.
