Senior Software Engineer (Kristiansand)

NOV Energy Equipment is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to strengthen our software development team. Our product portfolio is a well-established set of advanced software products for automation, safety, and monitoring systems. Our clients expect on-time and well-tested software before installation and commissioning on board the rigs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Project delivery for equipment upgrades
• Create and update technical documentation
• Develop, test, and verify software products and features
• Work with customers during software testing
• Provide support to our field engineers

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor or master’s degree in Cybernetics, Mechatronics, Computer science, or similar. 
• Relevant experience may compensate for missing education.
• Good written and verbal communications skills

Working knowledge in one or more fields is required:

• PLC programming using Siemens Simatic S7, TIA Portal
• PLC programming using TwinCAT for Beckhoff controllers
• Field experience in the oil and gas sector
• Experience with programming control systems
