Development Engineers - Satellite Communications

Kratos is the leading provider of satellite control and monitoring solutions to satellite operators with an 80 % global market share. Kratos is now developing a new generation of RF and monitoring solutions. Our team in Norway consists of experts on signal processing, electronics, satellite communications and talented software developers. We are now looking for Development Engineers to contribute to the development of the next generation of digital and virtualized satellite monitoring and communication products.

We develop on both Windows and Linux, using a mixture of C++, C#, and C. Experience with distributed systems and microservice architectures built on Docker and Kubernetes is important. A lot of our work involves signal processing or extensive networking.

Key responsibilities:

• Development of software communication, signal processing and monitoring products
• Design, architecture and documentation
• Collaboration with other Kratos teams (mainly in the US)
• Supporting other parts of the organization(sales, delivery, customer support)
• Contribute to road-map and product planning
• Support execution of agile and scrum processes

Experience:

• Higher technical education within software development, preferably Master’s degree
• Software design and/or digital signal processing
• Object oriented programming, C++ , C#, C, Matlab, Python
• Communication protocols, e.g. TCP/IP, DVB
• Result-oriented, methodical and structured
• Team player with good communication skills
• Speak and write English fluently
