Our Device Automation Engineer plays a vital role in our QA and Development team, concentrating on improving and sustaining our Android device lab. Responsibilities involve managing the device warehouse, developing apps, and implementing automated tests to ensure top-quality Android applications. Collaboration is key, and you'll actively engage with QA and Android teams to boost automation coverage.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and maintain Android automation tests of our product.
• Develop and contribute to the creation of Android applications.
• Manage and improve our device lab to run automated tests on the different devices
• Develop and enhance software to ensure that we can test our products on various devices from different locations.
• Manage the devices warehouse to ensure a smooth testing environment.
• Foster effective communication with both QA and Android teams to identify areas for improvement.

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with automation.
• Database knowledge.
• Knowledge of Android app development.
• Familiarity with ADB (Android Debug Bridge), Java, Python, Kotlin and basic networking.
• Familiarity with GitLab, CI/CD or similar.
• Familiarity with basic server development and User Interface.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as ability to work autonomously.
• English is the official language of our company, and proficiency in both verbal and written communication is essential.

Where you'll work:

Our office in Vika, Oslo is a hub for collaboration, featuring inviting communal spaces that encourage interaction and idea sharing. While we provide flexibility, and due to the nature of this role, we prefer a physical presence in our office 3 days a week.
