Business Intelligence Analyst
We are recruiting positions for our newly established team at Altera Business Intelligence Center. We are looking for a person that loves working with data and analysis to join our team. Our team is in the process of creating a data platform, aiming to streamline data consolidation, automate reporting, and embrace AI technologies to boost our capabilities across our global company.
As part of our growing team, you'll have the unique opportunity to be at the heart of Altera's strategic transformation. We are looking for a skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst with a strong command of Power BI. Your role will involve crafting insightful reports and dashboards, enabling the organization to make informed decisions. Working closely with our team, you will ensure the seamless extraction and integration of data, navigating our data platform to create and integrate views for analysis and visualization.
Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to explore and engage in tasks related to other fields, particularly in our exploration of AI opportunities in Altera, for those interested in expanding their skill set and contributing to cutting-edge projects.
Some of the things you will be accountable for
- Develop visually appealing and insightful reports and dashboards using Power BI to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Work closely with our BI developers in Manilla, ensuring we collaborate effectively, and deliver high-quality solutions to the company.
- Collaborate closely with the team manager to conduct meetings with stakeholders across the company to gather requirements and provide analytics support.
- Independently conduct meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct analysis, and provide insights.
- Assist stakeholders in defining their analytics needs and translating them into actionable requirements.
- Conduct data analysis to support decision-making processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate closely with the BI Developer to understand data requirements and ensure the correct extraction and transformation of data into our data platform.
- Utilize Power BI to extract data from our data platform, create views, and design data models that facilitate analysis and visualization.
- Maintain and update existing Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring accuracy and relevance over time.
- Provide training and support to end-users on how to leverage Power BI for self-service reporting and analysis.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus but not required.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Business Intelligence, data analysis, or related roles.
- Proven experience in creating reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Familiarity with data extraction, transformation, and integration processes.
- Experience in navigating data platforms and creating views for analysis, preferably experience in Azure data platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Relevant certifications in Power BI or related technologies are advantageous.
