The position

By joining our team in CFO you will have the opportunity to:
  • Be part of a team that perform the functional development related to Finance & Control (FC) solutions, systems, tools and processes in Equinor. 
  • Work as an interface between Finance, IT and the wider business, understanding business needs and sourcing potential system solutions. 
  • Advise the CFO function and other business areas on FC architecture and processes, and safeguard existing solutions.
  • Provide solution governance for the FC systems portfolio, and work with vendors to understand new systems available in the market.
  • All of the above with a Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) perspective and responsibility.
Our team is instrumental in the implementation of our NextGenerationERP project. SAP S/4 HANA has been chosen as our future system and if you join our team, you will work both in the implementation team and with our existing solutions. 

We are using SAP GRC as the central digital platform for all ICOFR activities today. Continuing our success on this platform remains key as we operate and expand into new business areas, regulations and systems.

The wider focus is now to make us more efficient and effective through use of the automation capabilities such as Continous Control Monitoring, Business Integrity Screening, Tax Compliance and CDS Views etc.

SAP plans to further expand the GRC product's digital and automation capabilities across 1st and 2nd Lines on the pathway to 2026 release. We are looking for someone with a strong base with the product and is interested to upskill, innovate and actively seek opportunities to bring new value across business and geographies.


You

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, IT or another relevant subject. 
  • 5-7 years' experience of working in a process-led environment such as Finance, Auditing or IT. 
  • Previous experience of working in a project environment, in particular software implementation. 
  • A desire to learn about systems and processes and be able to communicate information to stakeholders. 
  • Communication skills and a consultative approach. 
  • Someone who enjoys working in teams where you can share tasks, competence and expertise, while also having the opportunity to be self-driven and lead projects.
  • Curiosity about what is possible with the current and the future system portfolio.
  • Equinor are using SAP products to a large extent in Finance & Control and areas we look to strengthen our competence in are; SAP GRC, SAP BIS, Fiori, BTP integration, CDS views, In-app extension and the new role concept to support this technology. Experience or knowledge of these areas would be beneficial to your application.
