Veracity by DNV is looking for a skilled and passionate Senior Software Developer at our Oslo/Høvik office.

You will join a global team that runs a broad range of products and services, transforming existing and developing new digital services and tools across all of DNV's industries. Your day-to-day tasks :

  • Collaborating with the team to architect new features and ensure their transformation into business-critical solutions.
  • Designing and developing applications with a strong emphasis on leveraging data as a core component of the product.
  • Implementing a robust set of services and APIs to drive the functionality of the applications.
  • Creating reusable code and libraries to streamline future development efforts.
  • Optimizing applications for enhanced speed and scalability to meet performance requirements.
  • Staying abreast of the latest technology trends and actively participating in knowledge sharing with colleagues.
  • Engaging in agile, cross-functional teamwork to prioritize and deliver customer value.
  • Liaising closely with DNV's technical and commercial experts to understand problem domains and devise optimal solutions.
  • Participating in all development phases, from ideation to deployment and usage of solutions.

Position Qualification:

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in software development.
  • 2 years of experience specifically with Datalake house projects.
  • Proficient in web application development using the Microsoft .NET framework.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud services.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native development practices, including Docker and containerized deployment.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
  • Expertise in languages such as C#, Python, and JavaScript.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server and database design.
  • Familiarity with SQL and Spark for Datalake house projects.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric.
