The position

By joining our team in Technology, Digital & Innovation you will have the opportunity to:
  • Be a front runner for connecting IT and OT in development and deployment of IoT devices, including a wide assortment of sensors for gathering real-time Operational Data.
  • Work with complex and critical solutions within Oil&Gas, collaborating closely with IT Delivery Teams and the Business side, advising and proposing process improvements in the Oil&Gas domain.
  • Be part of a Competence Center and deliver within the domain of Operational Data/ IoT.
  • Work with the critical infrastructure required for data processing and making the data available to the business, and users.
  • Deliver the future of Energy IT solutions, IT architecture and integration across business areas by working on customer requirements to improve existing software and IT architecture in cloud.
  • Build and grow both IT and business knowledge and competence.
  • Take a lead role with our engaged teams and drive key initiatives forward by setting technical direction.

We’re looking for a talented and innovative IT-OT Solution Architect with a passion for Data & Analytics. In this role you will work with shaping and designing the future of our data strategy and technology roadmaps, collaborating with both IT and the Business to increase our predictability and performance in several business domains.

You will be part of a large community of IT specialists and will be able to contribute to Equinor’s digitalisation journey. The activities and tasks we perform are typically related to IT architecture, analysis, operations, maintenance support and advisory. We are recognised as key enablers for numerous business improvement initiatives and are always heavily involved in energy technology projects like robotics, windfarms, oil and gas platforms and process plants.


You

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related fields. Relevant working experience may compensate for formal education.
  • 5+ years of experience with IT infrastructure management (Windows/Unix environment) in traditional data centers and cloud platforms, preferably from large environments.
  • Experience from various IT areas like application management, network, servers, databases, or containers is beneficial.
  • Experience with backup and recovery solutions, with Azure and knowledge of mission critical IT infrastructure is a plus.
  • Conscious about security, resilience, compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral. Norwegian would be advantageous.
