Imenco Future Technologies seeks Electronic/Software Engineer

Imenco Future Technologies has over 100 employees located in our headquarter in Grinde, as well as Bergen, Voll and Aberdeen. This position will be working closely with our technical support located in Bergen, as well as an engineering team that happily offers support when needed. 

The location for the position is preferably Bergen, but working from our department in Grinde can also be an option.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

As an Electronic/Software Engineer at Imenco Future Technologies, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of tasks depending on the project. You will contribute to ongoing projects related to subsea solutions through interdisciplinary collaboration. This may involve software development, electronic engineering, or integration tasks as required by the project scope.

Other important responsibilities and tasks will be:

  • Develop, test, and maintain software solutions for subsea applications, leveraging knowledge of Java, C, C++, and Modbus protocols. 
  • Ensure software meets quality standards, performance requirements, and user needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical support in Bergen and other engineering departments, to address complex challenges and ensure project success. 
  • Apply forward-thinking mindset and problem-solving skills to overcome technical challenges and drive innovation in subsea technologies.

YOUR PROFILE

It is an advantage if you have experience within industries and companies in the oil & gas, offshore wind and green technology sectors. For this role we also appreciate a broad range of competence and disciplines. 

Other preferred qualifications:

  • Educational background within automation, electronics and software engineering
  • Knowledge about Java, C, C++, Modbus
  • Understanding of interference issues, including Modbus and studio communications
  • Exposure to subsea acoustics and sensors, crucial for our underwater applications
  • Strong capability in integrating systems, enhancing our project efficiency
