About the position

As a front-end Developer at Norrøna you'll play a crucial role in enhancing our web server and internal applications. Our back-end primarily utilizes .net, while the front-end is mostly built in vue.js. You will contribute to enhancing the front-end of our current web server which is vue.js based, work on the CMS components (also in vue.js) used by editors. Additionally you'll collaborate on internal applications using HTML, JavaScript and CSS which are integral tools for our colleagues across departments.

We are seeking someone who not only can build beautiful websites, but also possesses a keen eye for detail, always striving to deliver the best user experience possible. Whether you're already proficient in Vue.js, or eager to learn, we welcome your enthusiasm and commitment.

On the way you will learn a lot on how our whole company works, and play an important role in the success of all departments. We are constantly trying to improve how we work, trying new work processes or tools - so you will join a fast-paced working environment.

The role is a part of Norrøna’s in-house software development/IT department and reports to the department manager.


Main responsibilities:

  • Develop user-facing features using modern web technologies
  • Collaborate with designers, other front-end and back-end developers to translate UI/UX designs into responsive web applications
  • Participate in code reviews and actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
  • Write maintainable code and libraries

  • Want to work in-house on our web sites and multiple internal solutions
  • Ability to acquire insights from the users and use the insight for development on the website
  • Continuously stay updated on emerging front-end technologies
  • Good communications skills in English and Norwegian
  • You have great work capacity and are flexible in working form and tasks

Qualifications:

  • Formal education within software development/IT or relevant experience within the same areas
  • Demonstrated knowledge of front-end technologies like html, css, javascript
  • Vue.js knowledge is a plus
  • .net razor knowledge is a plus
  • Excellence in Norwegian and English is a requirement
