Lead QA Automation Engineer– Tietoevry Banking

The Role:

As the Lead QA Automation Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our software testing strategy, responsible for establishing and implementing comprehensive automation frameworks to ensure the highest quality of our software products. Your expertise will guide the automation of our testing processes, enabling efficient, effective, and scalable testing solutions. Our products are based on backend PL/SQL, Progress and Java micro services which are consumed through SOAP/REST APIs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and systems.
  • Lead the automation testing efforts, including integration, regression, and performance testing.
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand project objectives, gather automation requirements, and design automated tests that align with business goals.
  • Manage the QA automation team, providing mentorship and support to junior engineers.
  • Continuously evaluate and incorporate new testing technologies and tools to enhance testing efficiency.
  • Ensure that automated tests are integrated into the continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
  • Monitor and analyse test results, reporting on software quality and stability.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA automation, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
  • Strong proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Python, Java).
  • Experience in setting up and maintaining continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive test plans and cases.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
