Main purpose of position

Currently we are looking for a Data Analytics & AI Lead in Oslo, Norway to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Data Analytics & AI Lead you have a deep technical foundation and hands-on expertise in Azure Databricks, analytics, and data engineering. This role is crucial for maturing analytics capabilities in Scatec and developing the new Data Analytics Platform, in alignment with our operational and strategic goals through direct technical contribution and architecture design.

 

 

Main responsibilities 

  • Design, implement, expand, and manage the Data & Analytics Platform, applying hands-on expertise in data engineering and analytics, ensuring it supports data-driven decisions and strategic goals.
  • Engage with business stakeholders, digital, and IT teams to gather data needs and integrate solutions into the platform landscape.
  • Drive development of Data & Analytics Platform and data architecture principles and governance.
  • Identify and develop AI business use cases aligned with digital roadmap.
  • Guide the platform's evolution by adopting Modern Data Architecture practices, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Azure DevOps for agile development and operations (DataOps).
  • Stay at the forefront of data architecture innovations, continuously exploring new technologies and methodologies to champion data-driven excellence in Scatec, identify suitable solutions for the digital roadmap.
  • Foster collaboration with technical team to ensure that data solutions are seamlessly integrated into Scatec's broader IT ecosystem, enhancing data accessibility, governance, and quality across the board.

 

Qualifications and competencies 

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in data architecture, data management and data modelling
  • Interest in data analytics trends and advancements, such as AI and Industry 4.0. 
  • Extensive experience in data architecture, particularly within a modern data environment utilizing Azure Databricks, dbt, Terraform, and Azure DevOps.
  • Significant hands-on experience in data engineering, including but not limited to the development and optimization of data pipelines, data modelling, and data lakehouse. (SQL and Python)
  • Proven track record in leading the development and expansion of large-scale data platforms, preferably within a Modern Data Architecture deployment.
  • Strong familiarity with cloud-based data solutions, particularly within the Azure ecosystem.
  • Experience leading and managing cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data analysts, and data engineers.
