IT Infrastructure and Network Manager

Do you want to be a part of the team which is currently shaping the Norwegian and European
space future? Andøya Space has over 60 of years history in space and is in the process of
creating a European launch service for small satellites. We are looking for an IT Infrastructure
and Network Manager that shall develop and maintain the IT infrastructure and network at
Andøya Space. The IT department is a part of the operation support division.

The IT-department is responsible for the operation, maintenance, development and security of all IT systems and infrastructure at Andøya Space. The department also supports
operational activities in Missile, Ballistic Rockets and Orbital launches.


Working tasks/responsibilities

The responsibilities of the IT Infrastructure and Network Manager will be as a team member in
a growing IT department and will have the responsibility for developing, securing, and
maintaining the infrastructure and networks.

Andøya Space will be looking for a range of qualifications from applicants in the field of IT and
information systems.

The main tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Development, administration and maintenance of IT infrastructure and networks at
    Andøya Space.
  • Implement and maintain network security measures to protect sensitive company data from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
  • Implementation and administration of infrastructure and network policies.
  • Documentation and quality management.
  • Internal network training and polices.
  • User support

The position might also work in operations and campaigns. This may include some travelling,
work outside normal working hours and across remote land areas.

Qualifications - education

  • We are seeking an applicant with an engineering degree (B.Sc or M.Sc) or equivalent in
    the field of IT or information systems/network engineering and/or with extensive
    experience and knowledge in IT-, technical- or space industry.
  • Hands on experience with networks, Wi-Fi, security, security architecture, WAN, LAN,
    Proxy, IDS/IPS, WAF and similar technologies.
  • Automation and scripting (E.g. Python, Ansible or similar).
  • Software-defined services and programs.
  • Network monitoring and design software.
  • Knowledge of relevant frameworks such as ITIL, NIST, ISO and CIS Controls.

 

  • Applicant must be able to gain a National Norwegian Security Clearance.
  • Proficient in English oral and writing.
  • Applicants must have a Class B driver’s license.
