IT Consultant

Do you want to be a part of the team which is currently shaping the Norwegian and European space future? Andøya Space has over 60 years of history in space and is in the process of creating a European launch service for small satellites. We are looking for an IT Consultant that shall develop and maintain IT User-, systems- and end support at Andøya Space. The IT department is a part of the operation support division.


The IT department is responsible for the operation, maintenance, development and security of all IT systems and infrastructure at Andøya Space. The department also supports operational activities in Missile, Ballistic Rockets and Orbital launches.
 
 
 

Working tasks/responsibilities

The responsibilities of the IT Consultant will be as a team member in a growing department. Andøya Space will be looking for a range of qualifications from applicants in the field of IT and information systems. The applicants will work in the IT department with user support, operation, maintenance, and development of IT systems. The applicant must also be prepared for work towards operations and campaigns.

The main tasks are:

• IT user systems-, application- and end support.
  • Maintain, administrate, and handle user-, application-, and end support.
  • Maintain, administrate, and develop user support systems.
  • Maintain and administrate IT infrastructure, network, and Wi-Fi.
• Operation and maintenance of IT Systems.
  • Server and cloud administration.
  • Virtualization- and microservices.
  • Backup and data storage solutions.
  • Documentation and quality management.
  
  

The position might also work towards operations and campaigns. This may include some travelling, work outside normal working hours and across remote land areas. 

  

Qualifications - education

• We are seeking an applicant with an education or equivalent in the field of IT and information systems and who has some experience with the following topics:
  • Administration of IT systems and applications.
  • Administration of virtual server and cloud environments.
  • Knowledge about network administration, fiber optics and phone solutions.
  • Knowledge about IT Frameworks.
• Applicant must be able to gain a National Norwegian Security Clearance
• Proficient in English oral and writing.        
• Applicants must have a Class B driver’s license.
