Vimond offers a cloud-based Video Streaming and Content Management Platform used by broadcasters, distributors and content owners worldwide to manage their online OTT and live video services efficiently. With our newly launched, award-winning product VIA App Builder, you will be part of a team developing the next generation of streaming services.

We are part of the Norwegian Media Cluster, and our headquarters are located in beautiful Bergen, Norway, with colleagues located in the USA, Australia, Iceland, North Macedonia, Spain, The Netherlands and Bangladesh.

What you’ll do

Vimond seeks a skilled and talented backend developer to strengthen our product development team. You will join a team that is responsible for the development of central parts of Vimond VIA. VIA is an award-winning product being used by media professionals all over the world to manage, organize and publish streaming content to a number of devices. We understand the importance of creating an easy and efficient developer experience for both internal developers, partners, and customers; hence, having well-documented and intuitive APIs is key.

How people consume video content is constantly changing; thus, the tools for making content available are also evolving. We are proud to be early adopters of new technology, tools, and trends, and we expect you to keep up to date on what is going on in your field and actively contribute to driving Vimond VIA forward. You will be working together with highly skilled technical people who have end-to-end responsibility for their own part of the Vimond VIA product portfolio. You will also be expected to contribute to the developer-first experience in our products.

Responsibilities

  • Join our product team to develop world-leading products
  • Write clean and understandable code
  • Help others to write better code
  • Ensure compliance with and contribute to design guidelines/design direction
  • Design, develop and maintain products that are simple, useful and usable

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant education. Experience and skills can compensate for formal education.
  • Experience with Java Spring Boot
  • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience with Node.js and API integrations.
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud services.
  • Terraform
