About the Team

The Nordic eID team is one of our most established teams. Signicat integrates over 35 electronic identities (eIDs) across Europe, forming our eID Hub. Our eID Hub is used for several purposes: identity proofing, user authentication, and electronic signing - offering secure, convenient and efficient identity verification for simplified access to online services all through a single integration.

As a Senior Developer on this full-stack team you can expect to have end to end ownership of your work from initial requirements through to deploying and maintaining in production with a focus on back end development - typically this involves working on design and implementation of new functionalities, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting.

The team work with a varied stack including: Java, Spring Boot, Vue.js, GitLab CI, K8s, Helm, ISTIO, MySQL, GCP, Grafana, Prometheus and Loki..


    About you

    You have experience as a Java application developer — you are comfortable at the command line, you can read specifications and implement them accordingly, you understand the web as well as being comfortable writing modern server applications.

    You think continuous deployment is the future and believe it both contributes to avoid tedious manual deployment operations and enables you to deliver new features faster than ever.

    You like programming and creating value for our customers with software. You're a passionate programmer, a puzzle solver and a strong team player appreciated by your peers.

    Essential

    • You have 3+ years of experience as a Java developer using Spring Boot
    • You have implemented at least one of REST/SOAP/gRPC APIs before.
    • You are used to working in agile teams
    • You are a team player, both getting and giving support to your peers.
    • You stay updated on languages, frameworks and platforms.
    • You are open minded and valuate collaboration and interactions between individuals.

    And most importantly you think coding and developing software is fun!

    A bonus if

    • You use CI/CD systems (like gitlab CI).
    • You have knowledge or interest in containerised systems relying on Docker and Kubernetes.
    • You have experience with OIDC/SAML, PKI etc.
    • You know how web browsers work and what things like iframes, cookies or CORS headers are.
    • You have experience with continuous deployment.
    • You have experience with or interest in cloud platforms.
