Job purpose & description

As part of a development team in Volue, you will take part in the complete software cycle, from idea and design to the released product. Our software is the engine driving our customers' work processes within design, maintenance and operation of the electrical grid. You will get to understand how the electrical grid companies power your fridge and light your house. The applications we deliver range from traditional server/client solutions, with both desktop and web-based clients, to cloud-based services in Azure. We are on a journey of transitioning our product portfolio to SaaS, and as a developer you will be part of this.


Main tasks and duties

  • Our customers have based their operations on our software. You will help both to extend the life of current software, but also create killer applications from scratch
  • Work in an agile team to both develop new features and maintain existing functionality
  • Being involved in the complete life cycle of the application




  • A degree in computer science or in a natural science subject, or relevant experience
  • Our main language is c# and some c++
  • Familiar with APIs (asp.net core REST apis) with some authentication (such as IdentityServer) and hosting in IIS or Azure
  • Familiar with desktop or web frontend development
  • Familiar with tools such as Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, Github
  • Familiar with database technology
  • Familiar with scripting tools such as Powershell

Personal skills:

  • Eagerness to learn and grow with the team
  • Cooperate well with others
  • Preferably fluent in a Nordic language, good English skills
