Machine Learning Engineer  


We are looking for an ML Engineer that wants to join our vision to create a zero-waste food experience and personalizing the dinner experience for thousands of families every week. We are on a mission to help families eat more varied and healthier food with almost zero waste. Thanks to our business model we throw away less than 1% of the food we buy and since the start we have delivered over 50 000 million meals since we started 2008. 

As an ML Engineer, you will be part of our technology team with offices in Stockholm, Oslo , Helsingør & partners in Portugal. You will join the Data Science & Analytics team, consisting of Data Engineers, Data Scientists & Analysts. In LMK, data and to be data driven is a big part of what we do. We take pride in using data in all decision making. As a ML Engineer you will work on optimizing our data & ml platform to make the development of intelligent applications an effective process. You will support our Data Scientist by providing infrastructure and tools they can use to deliver end-to-end solutions to business problems that can be developed rapidly and maintained easily.  


You will also have the opportunity to develop your own intelligent- and optimization algorithms for all parts of the organization. Historically our ML engineers have developed and been part of building many types of different applications such as forecasting, production optimization and recommendation engines.

You will be responsible for: 

  • Help define our development environment and communicate the best development practices within the organization (i.e. code reviews, testing, etc). 
  • Own and be a driving force in building, scaling and maintaining our data & ml infrastructure on Azure to support our Data scientists, Analysts, and several existing applications. 
  • Minimize time to market for our internal ML models by optimizing the data science processes and making efficient ml pipelines. 
  • Develop our MLOPS our practices.  
  • Owning the deployment and monitoring of our machine learning models. 
  • Support the development of building Machine Learning models across different disciplines such as Recommendation, Forecasting, Optimization and ML Driven Insight. 
  • Develop and work on optimization problems 
  • Instill software engineering best practices in the department with CI/CD, testing etc.  


We think you have some of the following: 

  • Strong knowledge of open-source languages such as Python, SQL or similar. 
  • The ability to take initiative and responsibility within your area of expertise. 
  • Experience with cloud environments is a must. 
  • Experience in deploying and mantaining models in the cloud.  
  • A DevOps//MLOps mindset with a good knowledge of tools and technologies to facilitate CI/CD. 
  • Experience in developing APIs. 
  • Able to be independent, manage your own time, and take ownership of tasks from start to finish

The role means in short: 
The position refers to a permanent full-time employment with six months' probationary employment. You will be placed in our office in Oslo starting as soon as possible.
