Lime Petroleum is looking for a new Data Administrator

The Data Administrator position will be responsible for the acquisition, handling, and sorting of large amounts of technical data, and making these available to Lime technical staff. The position thus requires a high degree of orderliness accuracy and interest in making and maintaining order and systems. Experience with data management will be a key.  

Job description

  • Establish and maintain master projects in Petrel (and Kingdom, if relevant) with all data from Lime’s producing field.
  • Maintain a prospect data base, comprising polygons, volumes, risks, stratigraphy etc (from casebooks, Asset register, G&G software projects) in ArcGIS, which will be available to all employees.
  • Maintain Lime’s document handling system for contracts and agreements with authorities and other companies
  • Act as Scout for Lime and handle trades in the trade module.
Job skills and experience requirements
The position is at the interface between several technical disciplines (geoscience, reservoir, engineering, facilities), IT, databases, and data management. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the position, formal education in all relevant disciplines is not expected. However, it is desirable with a bachelor-level understanding of some of the technical disciplines and the petroleum business in general, because understanding the nature and purpose of the data will make their management easier.  

The position will require a basic understanding of several technical software packages (ArcGIS, Petrel, Kingdom, TNav, etc), and loading and sorting of data in these. Training will be given, but background in at least some of these software packages, and a general IT understanding is a plus. Experience in SQL database and ArcGIS Geodatabase is required. Knowledge of Schlumberger Studio is an advantage. Experience and knowledge in Azure environment, Python, and API development is an advantage. General job skills would be:
