Opus Dental is the leading EPJ and management system for dentists in the Nordics, and serves over 2000 clinics across Norway, Sweden and Island. We have a 30-year long history and today consist of around 50 employees across our locations. We are now in the process of transitioning to a cloud-based SaaS model and need a dynamic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who can drive this process forward and ensure a successful transition for our customers and team.
As our CTO you will play a crucial role in shaping our technology strategy and roadmap, whilst driving innovation. You will be a key member of the executive team and responsible for overseeing the Product- and Engineering teams which make up a substantial part of the company.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the continued transition to a cloud-based software model and ensuring a successful process.
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive technology strategy and roadmap that aligns with our business objectives and drives growth and innovation.
- Leading, building, and developing our Product and Engineering teams with focus on collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Ensuring a scalable, secure, and reliable technology infrastructure that supports our current and future needs.
- Driving continuous improvement and overseeing our product development lifecycle, while ensuring the optimal performance of our technology (including reliability and usability).
- Managing technology risks and ensuring compliance with security and privacy regulations.
- Bridging the gap between technology and business and operating as the primary technology advisor to key stakeholders.
To be successful in this role we believe you will have:
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Some years of experience from technology leadership role(s), with a track record of success in driving technology initiatives and leading Engineering teams.
- Higher Education within Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A strong understanding of modern software development and emerging technologies, while also having a strong familiarity with traditional on-prem software solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Great communication skills in Norwegian/Swedish and English.
We also think it would be an advantage if you have:
- Experience with leading distributed teams with partly remote set-up.
- Experience with transitioning from traditional on-prem software to multi-tenant SaaS.
- Experience as software engineer and with the product development lifecycle.
- Experience with C# / .NET / Azure.
- Experience in the dental - or healthcare technology industry, especially with practice management systems.
