We are currently expanding across multiple teams that build solutions on data coming from our fleet of 80000~ Reverse vending machines (RVMs) globally for TOMRA Collection.
Therefore we are seeking a skilled and motivated Digital Software Developer to join our digital team!
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing applications using cloud technologies and a passion for creating efficient, scalable, and sustainable solutions. Currently we run our solutions on Google Cloud platform(GCP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy high-quality applications using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain innovative and effective
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the field
- Strong proficiency developing solutions using Java
- Experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Firebase or similar is a plus
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with frontend technologies (e.g., Angular, React) is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
