About the role

Come join us in Stavanger, Norway as our new Software QA / Test Automation Engineer and be part our vibrant international development team, which includes software developers, designers, and product manager.
Our primary product is a React web solution that aims to train 50 million people in first aid worldwide. This is done by having a core technology that is distributed in various ways around the world. Your role will be to ensure we can maintain high quality in the product and deliver value to users in a quick and continuous manner. You will participate in transitioning into more test automation to achieve this. You will help set the best practices for ensuring quality by identifying bugs and suggesting improvements.
Some of what you will be doing
- Collaborate with developers and designers to understand requirements and defects found
- Create, execute, and maintain a test automation suite
- Collaborate with developers to integrate unit, integration, and functional tests in CI/CD
- Perform manual test case design and hands-on execution
- Manage defects and troubleshoot and investigate root causes
- Document quality and conduct static code analysis
- Interact at a cross-functional level to achieve optimal solutions
- Ensure continuous deployment across multiple sites to deliver a safe product with excellent quality.
- Explore and keep up to date with new technologies.
About you
You are a talented and passionate Software QA/Test Automation Engineer. You are used to working across disciplines and have good communication and interpersonal skills. You are self-driven and capable of going beyond requirements to find inaccuracies.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree within Computer Science or similar
- 3 years’ experience as Software QA/Test Automation Engineer is preferred
- Experience with test automation, API testing and BDD/TDD is a benefit
- Knowledge of test methodology (ISTQB, TMap®) is a benefit
- Experience with test automation and API testing using any of the following:
- Jest, Selenium, BrowserStack, Cypress, Enzyme, Robot framework, Karate++
- Good technical skills
- Experience in agile methodologies such as Scrum / Kanban
- Have an understanding of CI/CD build pipelines
- Some knowledge of static code analysis tool such as SonarQube / SonarCloud or Veracode
