The Mission Control team is responsible for live monitoring of operational quality and incidents, with the goal of ensuring that our users have everything they need for smooth and flawless operations. We not only significantly influence important company KPIs, such as accuracy, delivery success, and cost, but we also have the unique opportunity to see our product in action in real life, interacting with physical operations and real people.

Our team consists of one Engineering Manager, three developers, one Product Manager, and one Principal Engineer, and we are now looking for a Backend Engineer to join our amazing team.

In the Mission Control team, we believe in having fun while working together. With many exciting projects on the horizon, we’re looking for someone who loves learning, sharing ideas, and working closely with others to solve unique and challenging problems. Some of the things you’ll do:

  • Build and run backend services.
  • Design software data structures mapping complex real-world logistics scenarios to simple and straightforward solutions.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical and architectural decision-making.
  • Experience with any major cloud provider (e.g. AWS, GCP), Kubernetes, Terraform.
  • You will have the chance to work closely with the product and talk and get to know our clients to be in touch with the user needs.
  • Be part of of a modern product team, not just a tech team, where we get motivated by serving our users by giving solutions to their needs and problems.

Our Tech Stack

Every team in our organisation has a large freedom of choice when it comes to what tools we use to solve our opportunities. Our team uses Kotlin/Java, Go, PostgreSQL and Google Pub/Sub with Protobuf. We've adopted a microservices architecture, not due to trend-following, but because it aligns with our specific challenges and organizational structure. Our technology choices are deliberate, driven by careful consideration of trade-offs and suitability for our needs.

What's most important to us is finding the right match for our team. We have two senior Backend Engineers who will be involved in coaching and mentoring to help you get up to speed quickly. Beyond that, we imagine you have some of the following points on your resumé:

  • +2 years experience in a Backend Engineer role in a modern tech environment.
  • Experience with Java, Kotlin or Go.
  • Experience with any RDBMS.
  • Experience with any major cloud provider (e.g. AWS, GCP), Kubernetes, Terraform.
  • BSc Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
