IT Manager Norway

This position is to provide best-in-class support to our corporate and retail teams. This candidate will tactically execute day-to-day operations to ensure IT projects runs smoothly, including establishing operational reporting rhythms, organizing key deliverables, be able to identify key deficiencies, critically analyse operational problems, and develop solutions to resolve, and leading a variety of operational and business meetings. This candidate will be working closely with the CTO and collaborating with both internal and external teams to develop, implement, execute, and support company best practices.  

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Having full responsibility for IT BK Norway, being fully accountable as valuable team member of senior management team
  • Building close relationships with stakeholders (internal and franchisees) and being the point of contact for all IT operations.
  • Identify and resolve issues, with a focus on root cause analysis to prevent future reoccurances
  • Short term resolution of problems as they occur, and longer-term strategic thinking towards IT in Norway (and potentially our wider Scandinavian business) as a whole
  • Full responsibility for restaurant and HO technology, working with external vendors to ensure system reliability.
  • Management of our ePOS and consumer ordering platforms (mobile order and kiosks), implementing required changes through the IT team (such as menu, pricing and offers). Working both independently to make changes and with our third-party providers as required.
  • Supporting the roll out of new consumer, business, and restaurant technology.
  • Ownership of IT issues and requests, managing the external support team (consumer facing and restaurant technology), maintaining the issues log and development requests and working with third parties to ensure these are completed.
  • Management of risks and mitigation plans for critical business services.
  • Networking and infrastructure management – working with third parties to ensure lines are in place and networks remain stable and protected
  • New Store Opening IT management – ensuring we open restaurants on time and on budget, working with third parties to coordinate the installs
  • Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
  • Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
  • Having a wider view of IT within the organisation as a whole, in order to find potential efficiencies with the scale of the wider business (UK, Sweden and Denmark)

 

Requirement and skills

  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and third-party service providers.
  • Proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience – ideally within the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
  • Good communication skills in English
  • High level knowledge of IT systems and processes within the hospitality industry
  • Experience with Oracle Simphony POS systems a strong advantage
  • Experience with IT project management
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation are advantage
