About the Position:

We are seeking experienced IT Manager with strong expertise in enterprise application management, IT infrastructure management, and leadership capabilities. This role is responsible for overseeing the organization’s enterprise applications and IT infrastructure, ensuring security, scalability, and performance. The successful candidate will bring a collaborative and development-focused leadership style, fostering growth within the IT team, and will be results-driven with excellent communication skills, both internally and externally.

As IT Manager at Vianode AS, you will play a critical role in shaping the IT department, ensuring that technology solutions effectively support business growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud services, and security.
  • Enterprise application management, Ensure the stability and efficiency of the IT environment, monitoring performance and optimizing system resources.
  • Cloud & Virtualization: Guide the adoption and management of cloud platforms and virtualization technologies to meet business needs.
  • Project Management: Lead projects such as system upgrades, cloud migrations, and network enhancements, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external suppliers and service providers to ensure that the company gets the best value from its IT investments.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Work integrated with internal teams, including those focused on application management, to ensure alignment and integration of systems. Lead, mentor and develop a team of IT professionals ensuring they are skilled, motivated, and aligned with the department's objectives.
  • Technical Support Oversight: Ensure that the IT team provides high-quality technical support to all departments, minimizing downtime and addressing issues promptly.
  • Cross-functional Communication: Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring clear communication and alignment between business goals and IT strategy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT management, with a focus on infrastructure and application management.
  • Proven experience leading IT teams and driving large-scale projects.
  • Knowledge on any of the following systems is an advantage: Infor M3, Hexagon EAM, Aveva MES, Aveva PI, Omega365, Microsoft Cloud portfolio (Fabric, Intune, Entra)
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a focus on team development.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Location: This position is based in Oslo or Herøya.
