We’re looking for a talented and/or experienced Master Data Management Developer who wants to solve creative challenges and to work on technologies and products that enhance the experience of our guests, partners, and franchisees—both now and into the future.

The main purpose of the Senior Master Data Management Developer/Architect is to design, develop and implement NCH’s MDM solutions. The solutions must meet the requirements and goals of data governance and master data across the enterprise. This role is critical to business operations, business analytics, and application development. The MDM Developer/Architect is also a mentor to business leaders, analysts and developers who own, produce, improve, and use data.

In NCH we use Tibco EBX as our MDM platform, named by Gartner as one of the up and coming MDM platforms to watch.  The role reports to Head of Architecture & Information and will be located in Oslo.

The role
As Senior MDM developer/architect your key tasks and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
 
  • Define and develop the overall MDM architecture
  • Work together with NCH governance team and the business to establish and rollout an enterprise-wide centralized data management vision and roadmap
  • Develop standards and policies for data integrity across all master data areas, business units, technologies, and geographies
  • Drive alignment on definitions, policies, business decisions and governance and enforcement of enterprise business rules for master data
  • Implementation and development of data models
  • Implement data matching and merging rules based on cleansing and standardization requirements
  • Lead data migration activities including, but not limited to, data cleansing, data creation, data conversion, issue resolution, and data validation
  • Be part of NCH’s architecture forum (includes all business lines covered by Tech)

Who are you:
We know that a good MDM developer/architect can come from various backgrounds, and therefore we urge everyone who feels qualified to send us an application. We can offer extensive training for the right candidate, so don’t be shy.
Considering the responsibilities of the role, we believe that the following could be potential backgrounds:
 
  • 2 + years’ experience in data modelling, data warehouse and/or relational databases
  • Knowledge of EBX, Informatica or IBM as MDM platform
  • Knowledge of basic concepts of Java and SQL
  • Some experience with MDM data models, matching rules, trust frameworks, complex hierarchy relationship management and data governance
  • Some experience with architecture
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to understand existing business processes
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal
