Centric is a European IT outsourcing company that provides IT specialists to businesses and organizations in both the public and private sectors. Centric is growing rapidly in Bergen at its new office in Media City and is hiring talented developers to join our team. 

Arbeidsoppgaver

As a Backend Development Specialist at Centric, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend infrastructure of our customers` software products. You will work closely with other developers, product managers, project managers and systems architects to ensure that our customers` software products meet their needs. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and maintaining APIs that allow frontend applications to communicate with backend services
  • Building and scaling databases that can handle large amounts of data
  • Writing clean, maintainable, and testable code
  • Monitoring and optimizing the performance of backend services
  • Collaborating with other developers, managers, and systems architects to define requirements and specifications
  • Troubleshooting and debugging code

Ønskede kvalifikasjoner

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in backend development
  • Proficiency in .NET as well as Python, Java, or Ruby
  • Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Jenkins
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
