Duties and responsibilities

Are you enthusiastic about engineering and shipbuilding? Join us and you will play an important role in development of new and cutting-edge designs in all VARD segments. The Detailed Design Coordination department is responsible interface between the Functional Design and Detailed Engineering, which give you the possibility to interact with more or less the entire value chain of design and shipbuilding.

We are now looking for a Senior Engineer for the following tasks:

  • Project coordination / execution
  • Leading the team developing the outfitting of the ship
  • System design and integration
  • Equipment integration

Qualifications

  • Bsc or Msc ship design or similar
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office 
  • Experienced in rules & regulations related to design and shipbuilding
  • Good knowledge of English language, both oral and written

Personal qualities

  • Maritime industry interest
  • Ability to solve complex issues in a structured manner, involving multiple stakeholders
  • Good cooperation and communication skills 
  • Multi disciplinary overview and understanding
  • Identify yourself with the VARD values Craftmanship, Salesmanship and Fellowship.
