About the role

Lefdal Mine Datacenter is seeking a dedicated and responsible Team Lead for our Operation Center (OC).

The OC Team Lead will be responsible for the Operation Center and for day-to-day management of the OC Operators. This includes ensuring operational excellence by monitoring and analysing data, performance, alarms and notifications using the Building Management System (BMS).

As OC Team Lead you are expected to maintain a resilient team of trained professionals that can support customers and to coordinate activities with internal resources, subcontractors and visitors. OC Team Lead will report to Head of IT Operations.

Strategic responsibilities

  • Man the OC during normal business hours; 0800-1600.
  • Ensure operational efficiency through analysing data and performance using the BMS system.
  • Actively engage in goal setting. Track and be accountable for overall team productivity.
  • Collaborate with the Head of IT Operations and other internal stakeholders to identify system/process gaps and improve business practises.
  • Assist the Head of IT Operations to identify, attract and hire new talent while proactively working to upskill and retain key members of the team.
  • Actively engage in scenario training and compliance related activities.

Operational responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of the OC Team.
  • First and second line customer support.
  • Ownership of the ticketing system and ensuring that accurate data is recorded.
  • Incident management and registration of non-conformities.
  • Shift and vacation planning. 
  • Supporting the operational team.

Required experience

  • A degree in technical and/or process-oriented disciplines
  • Driver licence (B)
  • Experience from operational positions related to Data Center Operations
  • Experience in all areas according to the main responsibilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, both Norwegian and English
  • Experienced in shift planning
  • Documented team leadership experience
