We are now looking for a curious and solution-oriented Automation and Controls Engineer. You will be joining a team of Electronics Engineers and work closely with committed and skilled colleagues across different projects and disciplines. AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

As an Automation and Controls Engineer at AutoStore, you will work on the design, programming, and implementation of automation systems within our R&D department in Nedre Vats and Oslo (Lysaker). You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for our standardized products, with a strong focus on system integration. This hands-on role involves working with everything from concept to finished product and playing a key role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our systems. This development-focused position allows you to contribute to new products and continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will also include

  • Collaboration with compliance department
  • Developing technical documentation, including P&IDs and electrical documentation
  • Participate to deliver products with a high focus on quality

YOUR PROFILE

For this role, we are looking for someone with a professional degree or bachelor’s degree in Automation or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. You have experience with design and programming of PLC systems, including technical drawings and documentation. Good knowledge of automation safety solutions. 

It is also beneficial if you have

  • Experience with Omron PLCs, motor controllers and building and terminating cables
  • Experience with electronics lab work and testing
  • Knowledge of Network architecture and IT/OT systems 
  • Knowledge of relevant global standards and regulations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • “Elektro fagbrev” and or “Gruppe L” certification

You will be reporting to the R&D Manager Electronics. The position can be located at our HQ in Vats or our offices in Lysaker.
