GSS is an internal IT service provider in Telenor. We deliver enterprise IT services to all Telenor business units worldwide. Being a frontrunner in cloud adoption and automation creates a lot of opportunities but also expectations. To meet our customers? needs and support their continued digital transformation, protecting them from advanced cyber security threats is paramount. We are looking for a Lead Security Architect that will be a strong contributor to our cyber security defense capabilities. Are you the one to take on this important role?
As Lead Security Architect in GSS you will have a key role in protecting Telenor?s employees and assets against crime, espionage, and sabotage from criminals, private- and state-sponsored advanced threat actors and intelligence agencies. You will work closely with other architects, security experts, DevSecOps teams, SOC/CERT, and our customers to build and continually update our strong cyber security defenses. We work with exciting technologies and services. We are a true cloud native company with our services spanning from SaaS applications to software hosted in AWS and Azure. In the scope of cloud services, you will find ERP platforms, AWS/Azure/Google infrastructure, Microsoft 365, end-user computing, integration and automation platforms, micro services, and several other applications. GSS has a flat organization and as Lead Security Architect you will be reporting to VP Architecture and Business Development who are part of the GSS management team.
We are open to both those who are fresh out of university and seasoned experts. Most important is that you have a strong security mindset and a real passion for cyber security and technology. You learn fast and take on new security and technology challenges and solutions with a can-do attitude.
What will you be working with?
Here is a brief overview of some of the responsibilities:
Contribute in projects and line activities with security advisory and hands-on technical design to mitigate risk and ensure a strong defendable architecture.
Technical security design and advisory on application, infrastructure and supporting technologies
Collaborate closely with our DevSecOps teams on relevant technical security matters
Together with the other architects continuously update our defendable architecture design and principles
Technical security approvals for new initiatives being presented in the architecture board
Conduct security assessments and design and advise on mitigations
Identify technical vulnerabilities and propose solutions
Collaborate and work closely with the broader global security community in Telenor
Great professional development is part of this role, and if you recognize yourself in any of the following competency areas, you could become our Lead Security Architect:
A relevant degree in information technology, computer science, cyber security, or a related field; relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education
Years of experience within IT and security architecture; a relevant degree within the cyber security domain or relevant technologies combined with the right mindset and ability to learn fast may compensate for lack of experience
IT system development and application security
DevSecOps, agile methodologies and CD/CI pipeline with tooling
Network and infrastructure development and design in public cloud
End-User computing
Microservices and container platforms
SaaS applications
Security testing
Security monitoring and analytics
Vendor management with focus on security
Fluent in English written and spoken
