Data Engineer

Do you want to work as a Data Engineer in the biggest sovereign wealth fund in the world, working with emerging technologies like Snowflake and DBT together with lots of highly skilled people? The Data Core team in the Technology and Operations area is responsible for development, operations and management of data, data flows and data warehouse. We are a truly international team with diverse educational and cultural backgrounds and with team members spread out across Singapore, Oslo and New York.

We are looking to expand the capacity in the Data Core team. Data analytics is a core competency in NBIM and as part of the Data Core team you will have a central role in driving the development of our analytics capabilities.

In this role your main responsibility will be to drive forward and develop our data platform, including the Snowflake based data lake and lakehouse. Close cooperation with business stakeholders, developers, data engineers and analysts across the organisation will be crucial to your success. NBIM are currently in a transition from legacy to a completely new data platform and going forward we see that the new platform provides us with capabilities that allows for further analytics, more datasets and possibilities to take advantage of new developments in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

As a Data Engineer in Data Core you will:

• Work with great colleagues across NBIM to collect and interpret business requirements
• Provide support and guidance for colleagues on data solutions and design
• Maintain and manage the NBIM data platform
• Contribute to establishing data mesh in NBIM

What you need:

• Strong SQL skills
• Strong understanding of data, database development and data modelling
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Cloud computing experience
