Data & Analytics Manager

Yara Internal Risk & Audit (YIRA) assists Yara Executive Management and the Board of Directors with a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluating governance, risk management and internal controls. YIRA performs independent audits across all segments and examinate and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of Yara's control structure, in addition to the quality of management processes to achieve Yara's stated goals and objectives.

We are looking for a new team member who is interested in working with business data and its application for driving risk management and support the decision-making across the organization. This is a newly established unit, and the right candidate will have the exciting opportunity to shape the role and develop digital capabilities within YIRA and other corporate functions.

The position reports to Director, Audit Data & Analytics and is based in Oslo.

The Data & Analytics Manager will contribute to the digitalization journey of YIRA with the following:

• Project management and maintenance of digital tools, quality assurance of data and records integrity.
• Develop digital solutions by using available data and insights, including identifying and implementing digital automation opportunities with the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) methods.
• Align business requirements with stakeholders, define metrics and develop business intelligence solutions (this includes data gathering, storage, manipulation, analysis and translation into usable reports and dashboards).
• Communicate with stakeholders/process owners in Yara on the effectiveness of the current processes and proactively recommend improvements opportunities.
• Understand the data to validate assumptions, discover patterns and trends and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders, promoting adoption of data-driven decision making.
• Support with insight and reports in risk management, including the identification of risks and the design of potential solutions.
• Participate in and support internal audits with data and provide insights into automatization of audit controls.

• Bachelor or master's degree in data-related subjects such as Economics, Finance, Business, Computer Science, or similar.
• Hands-on and well versed with computer software. Interest in digital tools, process automation, continuous improvement, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
• Advanced in Microsoft tools, such us Excel, PowerPoint, Flows. Desirable skills in SQL, SAP BW, Alteryx and Power BI, Power Apps or ability and eagerness to learn.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, including collaboration with senior employees. English (fluent written and spoken) is a requirement. Other languages are a plus.
• Curious, structured, and analytical. Proven ability to understand/assess business requirements and design solutions accordingly.
