Network Project Engineer

On behalf of our client, Marlink AS, we are looking for a Network Project Engineer to be based in their Stavanger office to work with the preparation and configuration of our offshore maritime satellite network communication hardware.

Main Tasks
  • Configure and prepare new network HW before shipment to our customers, including but not limited to, routers, switches, portals, firewalls, access points
  • Perform changes on existing network solutions
  • Working closely in a team internally in delivery and contribute to other network departments in Marlink
  • Customer contact during roll out process
  • Give feedback to Project Managers on ongoing tasks
  • Verify that solutions are working according to the requirements
  • Documentation of solutions

Qualifications & Professional skills
  • Cisco CCNA or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
  • Good written and verbal English language skills
  • IP and networking

Desirable qualifications
  • • Fortinet NSE or equivalent
  • • Knowledge of Networking equipment such as Routers, switches, firewalls, WiFi, PBX, IP voice
  • • Microsoft Visio
  • • Programming languages, scripting
